While most of the time, I’m busy complaining about the lack of fashion choices in men’s shoes especially, there is one thing that we men can be proud of. Have you ever looked at the soles of your shoes?
I have noticed that the majority of my dress shoes have patterned or coloured soles, some quite detailed. While I’ve yet to master the art of walking on my hands to make the most of this discovery, it’s still nice to know that some extra effort has been put into my footsie fashion.
I’ll be interested to see if shoes made in Thailand have the same detail on the soles, as the sole of the foot is considered to be the most undesirable of all the body, and it is extremely rude to have the soles of your shoes pointed at someone else. No putting your feet up on an adjacent seat, unless it is facing a wall, I suppose.
